I was present at the protest last night, and I was impressed with the brave, appropriate actions of the protesters, in the face of police opposition, and ridicule from counter-protesters. This movement is an important one, and no greater amount of emphasis can be placed upon the demonstrations of these politically aware citizens who are sending a clear message to our city, as well as the military industrial complex: "We do not support this unjust participation of military action in our port!"

I can not beleive that you people are protesting the troops and their equipment COMING HOME. how are we to bring the troops home when you people will not allow them to use the port, witch I might add has not exactlly seen alot of buisness lately military or not. I am sorry, but unless you have been in the military, and been overseas, or been over there first hand, you should not be protesting. despite what the media tells you we are doing good things over there. Just keep one thing in mind before you form another stance on this, and before you decide to protest our troops and equipment COMMING HOME, the media will only tell you what gets ratings, witch is bad and negitive news. you want to know what is really going on there and why we are there, either talk to military vets, like myself, or actually go overseas, and see the good we are doing.
